Privacy, terms &
delivery — in plain words.

Thirty-nine years of looking after pieces — and the people who collect them. Here is exactly how we handle your information, your order and your delivery.

01 · Privacy 02 · Terms 03 · Shipping

01

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information — in line with Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

1.1

Who we are

NUOVO (“we”, “us”) is a design gallery at G03, The Galleria, 9 Queen’s Road Central, Central, Hong Kong. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.nuovoid.com, in our showroom and in our correspondence, why we collect it and how we protect it — in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of the Laws of Hong Kong.

1.2

Information you give us

When you enquire — through this website, WhatsApp, email or in person — we receive your name, email address, phone number and the contents of your message, including the pieces you ask about or select for a private viewing.

If you apply to our Professional Program, we also receive your company, role and project details. When you place an order, we collect the billing and delivery details needed to complete it.

1.3

Information collected automatically

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool that sets no cookies, uses no client-side identifiers and collects no personal data. We do not run advertising trackers, remarketing pixels or third-party behavioural analytics.

1.4

Information stored on your own device

Your language preference, colour palette and wishlist selections are saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. They are never transmitted to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

1.5

How we use your information

We use your details to respond to enquiries; prepare quotations, private viewings, orders and deliveries; manage Professional Program accounts; and meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to our business.

Occasionally we may send gallery news or exhibition invitations — only if you have asked to receive them, and every message includes a simple way to unsubscribe.

1.6

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone, for any reason.

1.7

When we share information

Only where necessary: delivery, installation and logistics partners receive the details needed to fulfil your order; banks and payment providers process your payment; our professional advisers may access records under confidentiality; and we will disclose information where the law requires it.

1.8

Transfers outside Hong Kong

If your delivery is handled by a partner outside Hong Kong, they receive only the contact and address details required to complete your shipment.

1.9

How long we keep it

Personal data is kept only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, plus any period required by law or tax regulation, and is then securely deleted.

1.10

Security

Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable, proportionate steps to protect your information.

1.11

Your rights

Under the PDPO you may request access to, or the correction of, the personal data we hold about you. Write to home@nuovoid.com — we will respond within forty days, as the Ordinance requires.

1.12

Changes & contact

This policy may be updated from time to time; the date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Questions about privacy: home@nuovoid.com or +852 6442 6442.

02

Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern every purchase from NUOVO — from first enquiry to final delivery.

2.1

The agreement

These terms govern every purchase from NUOVO, whether made in the showroom, through this website or by correspondence. Placing an order with us means you accept them. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force on the date of your order applies to it.

2.2

Enquiries & quotations

Our pieces are sold by enquiry rather than online checkout. Prices are provided on request: every enquiry receives a written quotation, valid for fourteen days unless otherwise stated.

Unless stated otherwise, prices are quoted in Hong Kong dollars. Euro figures shown on this website are indicative only and may move with exchange rates; your quotation is the binding price.

2.3

Placing an order

An order is placed when you confirm a quotation in writing — an email is sufficient — and becomes binding when we confirm it and receive the required payment or deposit.

2.4

Payment

Payment is by bank transfer to the account shown on your invoice; other methods may be arranged on request. In-stock pieces are payable in full. Made-to-order and custom pieces require a fifty per cent deposit, with the balance due before dispatch. No piece is released until funds have cleared.

2.5

Made-to-order & custom pieces

Made-to-order pieces are produced for you once your deposit is received. Lead times are good-faith estimates — production schedules, materials and international freight are sometimes beyond our control — and we will always keep you informed.

Natural materials and hand craftsmanship mean that grain, tone, veining and weave vary from piece to piece. These variations are the character of the work, not defects.

2.6

Vintage, limited edition & one-of-a-kind pieces

Vintage and historical pieces are sold as seen. Wear consistent with age and use is part of the piece’s history and is described honestly; a detailed condition report and additional photographs are always available on request before you commit. Dimensions are given as close approximations.

2.7

Authenticity & provenance

Every piece we sell is guaranteed genuine — sourced directly from the houses we represent or accompanied by documented provenance. Certificates and original documentation are included where they exist.

2.8

Title & risk

Ownership of a piece passes to you when we have received full, cleared payment. Risk in the piece passes on delivery, as set out in our Shipping & Delivery policy below.

2.9

Returns & cancellations

All sales are final. Because our pieces are vintage, limited edition or made to order, we are unable to offer returns, exchanges or refunds, and deposits on made-to-order and custom pieces are non-refundable. Please inspect your piece carefully on delivery — transit damage is handled under clause 3.9 below. Nothing in these terms limits any right that cannot be excluded by law.

2.10

Website content

We take care with the accuracy of this website, but errors and omissions can occur, and images may differ slightly from the actual piece. Content may be updated or withdrawn at any time without notice.

2.11

Intellectual property

The design, text and imagery of this website belong to NUOVO, or to the houses and photographers credited, and may not be reproduced without written consent.

2.12

Liability

Our liability in connection with any purchase is limited to the purchase price of the piece concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

2.13

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction.

03

Shipping & Delivery

How your piece travels — white-glove in Hong Kong, and with specialist shippers to Mainland China and worldwide.

3.1

Arranged piece by piece

Furniture, lighting, rugs and objects each travel differently, so we arrange delivery individually for every order. Method, timing and cost are always confirmed in writing before anything ships — there are no surprise charges.

3.2

Hong Kong

Deliveries within Hong Kong are white-glove: a two-person team carries the piece in, places it where you want it, assembles what needs assembling and removes all packaging.

In-stock pieces are typically delivered within three to seven working days. Cost depends on size, weight and access — floor, lift, stairs and parking — so a difficult-access address is best quoted in advance; photographs of the access are genuinely helpful.

3.3

Mainland China

Deliveries to Mainland China are handled door-to-door by specialist logistics partners, with customs clearance arranged on your behalf. In-stock pieces typically arrive within two to four weeks, and we prepare the export documentation.

3.4

International

We ship worldwide with specialist fine-art and design shippers. Air freight is faster; sea freight is often the sensible choice for large pieces. Export crating is arranged where the piece needs it. Most international deliveries arrive within two to six weeks, depending on destination and mode.

3.5

Made-to-order lead times

Made-to-order pieces commonly take eight to fourteen weeks from deposit, depending on the house; bespoke hand-knotted rugs typically take twelve to sixteen weeks from an approved drawing. Production begins when your deposit is received, we keep you informed throughout, and your delivery window is confirmed as soon as the piece reaches us or its consolidation point.

3.6

Delivery costs

Delivery is quoted per order and itemised on your quotation or invoice, so the full cost — piece, delivery, installation — is agreed before you pay.

3.7

Duties & taxes

For deliveries outside Hong Kong, import duties, taxes and customs fees are the recipient’s responsibility. If you prefer certainty, ask us for a landed-cost quotation and we will arrange delivery duty paid where the route allows. We provide all export documentation either way.

3.8

Insurance

Every shipment we arrange is insured in transit for the full purchase value of the piece.

3.9

Receiving your delivery

Please inspect your piece before signing for it, and note any concern on the delivery document. If something is wrong, photograph it and write to home@nuovoid.com within forty-eight hours, keeping the packaging — it is usually required for the claim. We then handle the claim with the shipper and arrange repair or replacement with you.

3.10

Collecting from the gallery

You are welcome to collect from G03, The Galleria, by appointment, at no charge. We hold purchased pieces free of charge for fourteen days after we tell you they are ready; longer storage can be arranged and may be quoted.

3.11

Delays beyond our control

Weather, customs inspections, port congestion and production delays can occasionally move a date. When they do, we tell you promptly and re-schedule at the first opportunity; we are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
