Colour in motion, made by hand
Bethan Laura Wood's universe is one of colour in motion — a continuous cross-pollination of pattern, material and craft. For As Seen Through the Lens of Nilufar and cc-tapis, NUOVO transformed the gallery into a single landscape: hand-knotted cc-tapis rugs underfoot, Nilufar glass and mirrors catching the Central light, and furniture that refuses to sit still.
The setting was conceived as a walk through the designer's mind — from the vivid geometries of Piñata and Otomi, knotted by hand in Nepal from Himalayan wool, to the kaleidoscopic mirrors of the Nilufar edition. Visitors moved between works as between rooms of a house that exists only for the length of an exhibition.
